"Every
single thing you sent me is exquisite.
I was struck by how delicately brilliant all of the hydrosols are.."

"Your hydrosols are EXTRAORDINARY..THE
FINEST I have found.
Please keep doing whatever you are doing!"

It is quite obvious that the energy
with which you prepare your products is one-of-a-kind. Yes, the hydrosols
are wonderful, but equally wonderful are their energetic qualities.

Welcome
to the world of Dabney
Rose Hydrosols and Sweet
Water Distillery. I
have been a distiller for over twenty years, and we think about distilling
a little differently here; by choosing to focus on how 'fine'
we can get rather than how 'much' we can get from a batch.
I do not remove any oil!
We
believe this thinking starts way back in the beginning with organically
raised seeds and plants. We
believe the energetic's of all processes concerned have an impact
on the final product.
Our first choice
of still pots is the glass flask given to me by my father over 20
years ago. When this is not appropriate, we have a stainless steel
pot fitted with a long copper elbow, connected to a coiled glass condenser.
We change our distilling techniques, depending on the part of the
plant we are 'transforming'.
We harvest our plants
at the time of day/night when the energy is highest in the flower
or leaf. We feel (and have been told!) our garden is teeming with
joyful nature spirits. The whole enterprise is a love affair with
fragrance and nature.
My
hydrosols are always in glass, from the ‘catch’ bottle
to your cobalt blue spray bottle. I feel that plactic compromises
a hydrosol just as much as it would an Essential Oil. They do not
make long journeys from overseas to warehouse to shop, to your door.
They are Artisan Distilled in the Ozark hills.
Like a fine wine,
'Sweet Water' Artisan Hydrosols are 'limited editions'. There will
only be so much Rose centifolia 2008. They will also vary from year
to year, depending largely on the weather conditions. Sadly, many
'waters' that are on the market today are produced at least partially
in labs and have the same, inert, harsh smell. Know your source!
Our batches are
small and intimate. Our distillates are exquisite. You are not buying
a hydrosol; you are buying a dabney rose.
"Congratulations on the lovely work you are doing.
A true distiller in the highest sense of the word.
Very few people are doing any genuine distillation work here in the
USA.
The raspberry hydrosol is incredible."

"Her methods
are old school. It would be difficult, if not impossible, to
find a large scale company following the same level of craftsmanship."
from The Ozark Star
"
I like quality and good energetics in a product. I had
the pleasure of trying Dabney's Rose Hydrosol product recently and
am
absolutely delighted with it. It smells absolutely heavenly. One of
its most remarkable characteristics is the energy it imparts when
used.
I would go so far as to say it feels like receiving
energy healing when used. It is one of the most impressive products
of
its type I have ever had the pleasure to use."

How do we use
hydrosols????
I have come to
learn that the most delightful way to experience hydrosols is to add
a bit to your drinking water. They expand to allow your taste buds
access to every nuance. The choices are limitless when you start combining
them, and look at how much water we should drink! Add a bit of lemon
verbena and you not only have a quite enjoyable drink, but a medicinal
one as well.
As I am usually cold in nature I drink a lot of cardamomYum. I also
depend on them when my energy dips into sore throats, etc. I use lemon
thyme or echinacea to support my immune system, rose or rose geranium
to balance hormones, wild carrot for detox, yarrow or frankincense
to slow down my cycle,...whenever you would use dried herbs or a tea,
hydrosols add more punch and tast infinitelyy better!
